Exceptional deign is where form, function and aesthetics intersect. Italian born designer Eugenia Minerva understands this intuitively and believes that products must be designed for people blending functionality, creativity, technological innovation and, most significantly, real emotional value in the product itself. Minerva is so aptly named as Roman goddess Minerva was likewise known for her affinity for arts and crafts among other things.
Minerva graduated from the University of Pescara in Italy where she studied architecture and industrial design. In January of 2008, Minerva opened her own design firm, Eugenia Minerva Design Studio in Pescara where she lives and works. Here she embarked on a number of successful collaborations like one with respected European furniture manufacturer, TON where they created the Similda Dining table.
As Minerva herself notes, “Objects are our language; they put us in connections with our life stories and that is ultimately what makes them attractive and meaningful to us. They were created for us to enjoy so that we can set our emotions free and live in an environment that reflects the pleasure of living. And this is the soul of all my products.â€
