Henrik Pederson's main inspiration is neo-Scandinavian design, influenced by the vibes of London and the humor of Amsterdam, often with elements of fusion, resulting in materials and functions being combined in new and original ways, while always striving for a pure and simple look.
Henrik Pedersen graduated as a fashion designer in 1990 but uses his education to explore the full range of design. His interest in maths together with his wide-ranging experience give him an intuitive ability to quickly gauge if a new design will work or not. 'Experience and knowledge help, but the difference lies in how you use it. Good common sense and a passion for your craft will take you far.'
Based in Tel-Aviv. He believes that design should be practical, striving for simplicity and be straightforward. Designing products that are desirable, bringing fun products that make you smile. In Henrik Pedersen's designs he tries to use as inspiration; a recognised shape, feature or a small gesture which most people are familiar with, simplify it to its core, process it and implement it in a new context.
The functional details enhance the concept in an interesting and expressive manner, and adds a unique character to the object, one that the consumer can recognize and relate to.
